When I first looked at Pecine OPG, the honey was perfect. Golden, raw, straight from Velebit’s slopes. But the brand? Not so golden. Imagine a product that screams “real, authentic, mountain air,” but a brand identity that whispers… nothing. That was the gap.
Pecine OPG were masters at product quality. They nailed purity, taste, authenticity but that’s where it stopped. The honey told a story, but the brand didn’t translate it. No voice, no feeling, no identity that said: this is who we are.
That’s where I stepped in. My job wasn’t to “make it pretty. and old”. It was to bottle their values into design: minimal, bold, confident. The same way their honey feels pure and uncompromised, the brand had to feel the same. No buzzing cartoon bees, no fake rustic charm. Just the essence of Velebit: clean, raw, real.
I built a visual identity that does what their honey already did: stand out without shouting. Strong but old typography, stripped-back design, a voice that’s playful but proud.
Now, the honey and the brand are in sync. One taste, one look, and you know exactly what Pecine OPG stands for: honesty in a jar.
